On January 22 families were invited to join us for the second session in our Special Education Parent University series. This VIRTUAL event was designed to help families be informed, confident and engaged members of their child’s IEP team and focused on what happens at an IEP (Individualized Education Program) meeting. Participants learned more about the IEP document, the different types of IEP meetings and the important steps that take place before, during and after an IEP meeting as well as their legal rights as a parent or guardian throughout the IEP process.
