5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Lincoln Middle School Library

Portland Public Schools passed the Transgender and Gender Expansive Student's policy in November of 2017. At this workshop you'll learn about why this policy matters in creating safe and inclusive schools, and what it means for Portland students and parents. Come to learn about the experiences of transgender and gender expansive youth from a panel of Portland community experts, parents and students!

There will be a brief workshop led by Barrett Wilkinson PPS Equity Specialist, and Deering High School seniors Alex Fitzgerald and Izzy Smith to help participants learn about different transgender and gender expansive identities and provide information on the new PPS policy.

Following the workshop there will be a panel featuring:

Gia Drew, EqualityMaine
Alex Fitzgerald, Deering High Senior
Osgood, Portland Outright
Bridget Tidd, Portland Parent

Thank you to our sponsor, Biscuits & Company, for providing the evening's refreshments!‚Äč
