King Middle School

5:30 PM - 7:30 PM

What are the behavioral expectations for your children in Portland Public Schools?

Social Emotional Learning (SEL). Behavioral Health Continuum. Restorative Practice. Trauma-informed Schools. Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS). What do these words mean and how do they relate to the success of children and youth?

In this session, Chris Reiger, the Director of Clinical and Behavioral Supports for Portland Schools, will discuss the district’s multi-tiered systems of supports designed to help students develop self awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision making. How these strategies can be supported at home will also be discussed.

Come learn how to help your child create positive relationships, develop good work habits, make good choices, and behave appropriately at school and at home.

Refreshments, childcare, and interpretation services are available.
